Bootlace ferrules, or wire ferrules, are used primarily in the panel building industry. They help prevent the spread of wire strands by containing all of the wire within the ferrule body. The ferrule can then be gripped very tightly by screw, giving a very effective electrical connection.
CCC Direct routinely stock insulated and uninsulated bootlace ferrules. For both types of ferrule, the operating temperature range is -40 to105 degrees.
Insulated Bootlace Ferrules

Insulated bootlace ferrules are suitable for tri-rated cables and are supplied in accordance with DIN46288 part 4 standards. The insulation helps eliminate arcing during installation.
